Inspired by contact with elderly family members, friends and neighbors, the members of the Young Leadership Committee organize programs that raise funds, create camaraderie and build on social circles and networks.

The Young Leadership Committee holds several fundraising and fun-raising events each year to raise awareness of The Blue Card and money to benefit the programs that support survivors.
Recent activities include:
- Ping Pong tournament and Silent Auction at Spin NYC, which raised $15,000 in April 2012.
- Educational Documentary screening of "We are Still Here" at the Museum of Tolerance, Simon Wiesenthal Center, August 2012.

The event will feature prominent guest hosts, unlimited social ping-pong and tournament, and a LIVE dating auction.
100% of annual contributions made by individuals go directly to aiding needy Holocaust survivors.

Eva
Eva meets her rent each month with help from The Blue Card.
An elderly Holocaust survivor, Eva was frantic. Because of a steep rent increase, she had fallen behind on her rent. Now she received an eviction notice from her landlord, even though she had lived in that apartment for 25 years.
Eva confided in a staff member at a local Jewish Community Center in Los Angeles, who then contacted The Blue Card. Eva was immediately reassured that we would help her and she would not be evicted.
The Blue Card staff completed the necessary paperwork and conducted a comprehensive review of her financial situation. She was awarded a monthly rent subsidy to help her make her payments and all her rent arrears were paid before the deadline.
Thanks to the Blue Card's monthly support, Eva can live out her days with dignity in her own home.
